For our final Boozy Brunch in June, which also happens to be Pride Month, we are doing a SHOW YOUR PRIDE brunch. We’ve got the regulars here of course, ourselves, Cafe Moxo, and Just the Basics, but this time we’ve also brought in the Illinois Times and the Phoenix Center to help wrap up June and Pride Month with a bang!

2020 Stop, Collaborate, and Listen!

We are back in the running for Local First Springfield’s Best Collaborator Award along with our #AdamsFamily partners! This year we’re nominated in a group with

  • Cafe Moxo

Thank you everyone for thinking of us! Wish us luck 🍻

Going Above and Beyond

Painting by Felicia Olin

The people, places and things we relied on to get us through while we stayed home.

We’ve all had to adapt to a new way of life, mostly on short notice. Whether it is a business owner trying to figure out how to continue to provide goods and services or a teacher engaging with students from a distance, there are many people going above and beyond during these challenging times. With that in mind, we decided to ask our readers to tell us about the people, places and things who kept them going during the last few months.

Thank you to the Illinois Times and all our supporters for naming us “First bar to have a drink at when restrictions are lifted”.

We can’t wait to serve you all again! 🍻

Wednesdays are back!

We will be open on Wednesdays again beginning next week (6/24) and kicking things off with a bang with Fire Freestyle at Buzz Bomb.
For this week, you have to wait til Thursday but luckily that’s tomorrow! 🍻

Bring your masks, chairs and dollar bills for a night of fire arts freestyle outside of Buzz Bomb Brewery! Hosted by @217burlesque in an outdoor seating space while the heavy surf sounds of SONIC MAXIMIZER plays for tips and cheers!

Masks required while ordering drinks and using the restrooms. We’re serving thrills, cold local beers and heavy surf rock! So come early and stay late 🔥🍻

Very excited for this event, thank you Burlesque & Curiosities Troupe and Sonic Maximizer!
