Our ribbon cutting was a smashing success, thank you to everyone who came out and thank you to Blue Willow Photography for the great pictures of that evening! I will let the pics speak for themselves!
It’s time! Grand opening! Ribbon cutting! FINALLY!
Join us on Thursday March 29th at 4pm at the tap room for a ribbon cutting hosted by Downtown Springfield, Inc and the Chamber of Commerce.
We’ll be open 4pm-11pm serving drinks and there will be a few snacks and cake to commemorate the occasion as well, hope to see you there!
Wow, it’s been a busy month! We had our soft open starting March 2nd and since then, even though we’ve only been open Fridays & Saturdays, the response has been amazing. We are humbled and can’t thank you all enough for your support.
This has truly been a fantastic start for our brewery and tap room.
In addition, we were lucky enough to have some pretty fabulous private functions throughout the month including fund raisers for Tim Butler & Kelly Cassidy, the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild craft beer tasting, a primary party for JB Pritzker, and oh yeah there was this little holiday called St. Patricks Day, ha!
Check out the gallery above for highlights from the month, enjoy!
We rang in the New Year with a party and made our first sales at the tap room! It was a great night and a great start to a new year. We can’t wait to get everything wrapped up and be able to open regularly to the public. Happy new year, see you soon!
Heya everyone! Thanks for being patient with us, we’ve been quiet lately because we’ve been hard at work trying to get everything finished so we can open and get you all a beer! Right now we are looking at a late January opening. See you soon!
PS – enjoy some pics of all the hard work
PS – check out some albums of our hard work on our Facebook page
All of our cellar side got moved into their forever homes today, woo! It was definitely a big day at Buzz Bomb Brewing Co and capped off a few days of hard labor getting things ready, laying tile, grouting tile, laying more tile, grouting more tile…
We’re tired but happy and things are getting closer, more updates soon! Photos by Renee Angeles-Gines.
We took some time out of construction to talk to 1821 magazine again and they put together an amazing article as well as some great pictures!
Fans from the very beginning, we checked in with Josh Flanders and Bill Larson of Buzz Bomb Brewing Company to get the latest on renovations at the flagship location in downtown Springfield.
We got to use our new roller door for the first time for the delivery of our brewhouse! We had a bit of trouble when the lift gate on the semi broke. In the down position. Double parked in front of our building. So yeah, a few folks were trapped in their parking spots for awhile but that DIY spirit that fuels all of our projects took over and we got to work.
So, how do you fix this problem?
Check it out!
The road to our opening is long and winding (did I mention long?) but we keep rolling on. That just got a wee bit easier this week with the installation of our new roller door! We still need to get rid of the ugly window tint on the rest of the front, oh and the red tape trim, but new glass roller door is awesome! We’re well on our way to creating the destination experience that’s been in our heads for months, can’t wait for you all to see it too.
Lots of good things happened last week, we got all of our designs submitted to the city for permits, we got our federal licensing approval, we got started prepping for the glass roller door on the front of the building (oh yeah, that’s happening!), and we got some good work done on the brewery!
After all that work, we needed a vacation…well that wasn’t going to happen so we did the next best thing and threw a party 😀
Awhile back some friends had requested a private tasting party and boy did we deliver, we pulled out all the stops and put together a german feast alongside eight of our experimental beers. The night was a rousing success, take a look
You may remember that we’re doing a lot of work ourselves, such as building a lot of the furniture that is going into the tasting room…well you’re looking at where we learned to do that kind of stuff. All the furniture you see in that tent, including the bar, we made ourselves.
